— Written By and last updated by

Don’t wait until next spring when you are busy to earn your recertification hours for the 2017-18 cycle. Watauga Cooperative Extension will provide an opportunity to earn all 7 required landscape contractor’s recertification credits for the cycle ending July 31st, 2018. 2 required hours of business classes are included. In addition you will be able to earn 2 hours of pesticide recertification hours in the L, N, D, X categories. We are also offering 2 hours of credit for ISA Certified Arborists. We have a great group of speakers lined up that will provide you invaluable information for making your landscape business more successful. You will want to stay for the whole day as our last speaker is very energetic and will provide you expert ideas on how to get the most bang for your buck with internet and social media marketing!

The event will be held at Watauga County Cooperative Extension Conference Center on Thursday October 12th from 8:15am – 4:55pm. The conference center is located at 252 Poplar Grove Rd. in Boone. There will be various vendors who sell landscaping supplies and equipment that you can visit with during lunch. Lunch will be provided, so to help with planning, please register by calling the Watauga County Cooperative Extension office at 828-264-3061. There will be a $10 charge for lunch which can be paid at the door. If you do not need landscape contractor’s license hours and cannot attend all day, you may attend just the classes you need. See schedule for times and credits you can earn.
