Watauga County Cooperative Extension will be offering an indoor seed starting workshop.  The workshop will be held March 2nd, 2022 beginning at 6:00 pm in the Watauga Agriculture Conference Center at 252 Poplar Grove Rd.

From 6:00-6:50 we will be in the classroom learning about types of seeds that can be started indoors, timing of sowing, methods of sowing, media types, ways to achieve moisture requirements, fertility, and most importantly light. This part can be attended over Zoom. Then from 7:00-7:30  we will show you seeds we have started, tools, and our process.  Then participants will get some practice planting seeds, which will then be germinated for school and community projects.  We will then demonstrate how to make a stand at home from PVC for hanging the lights of your choice.  We really like this design because it can be taken back apart for storage.
