Thank you for your interest in providing Watauga County youth with positive youth development opportunities!

Volunteers play a vital role in the ongoing growth and development of those in the 4‑H Youth Development program. Volunteers are the key to our success in the North Carolina 4-H program. Whether you’re interested in becoming a club leader or have a few hours to invest, we have challenging and fun roles for adults and teens who want to make a difference.

About 4-H

  • 4‑H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering six million young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. 4-H is the largest youth organization in the United States with more than 6 million participants. 4-H is best identified by its green four-leaf clover with an H on each leaf. The four H’s on the emblem stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. 4-H is the only youth organization based at land-grant universities and the first experience many youth have with higher education.
