4-H Summer Fun Registration Open!

Watauga County Summer Fun Registration NOW OPEN!

We are excited to announce the first round of 4-H summer activities. We will have a new 4-H Agent joining our staff on June 1, 2026, and she is ready to hit the ground running! See below for a description of each activity. Registration can be found on 4-H Online.


June 15th - Summer Kick Off Event

Come enjoy ice cream with the new 4-H agent and meet other kids participating in summer fun activities! Open to all ages.

Where: Boone Jaycee Park

When: 5:30pm to 7:00pm

Cost: Free!

June 23rd and 24th - Junior Master Gardener Camp

Get your hands dirty in our demonstration gardens while we learn about composting, starting plants, and create stepping stones for the gardens. Youth will also have the chance to join our great 4-H pumpkin project!

**Youth bring their own lunches**

Where: Watauga County Ag Conference Center

When: 9am - 2pm

Cost: $20.00

June 30th - July 2nd - Pizza Camp

Youth will travel to farms to learn about how pizza gets to our plates and gather ingredients, then make their own wood-fired pizza on

the final day.

**Youth bring their own lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday**

Where: Drop off and Pick up at Watauga Ag Conference Center

When: 9am - 4pm

Cost: $80 (financial aid may be available if requested)

July 14th - 16th - Explore Nature

From the mountains to the streams, there’s so much to explore! We’ll travel to Grandfather Mountain, Tuttle State Educational Forest, Table Rock Fish Hatchery, and more to learn about the beautiful high country and beyond.
