County Extension Notice to the Public

— Written By

Watauga County Clientele and Citizens,

We continue to work with county and state health officials, as well as NC State and N.C. A&T State Universities, to monitor the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To help prevent the spread of the virus, effective Monday, March 23, 2020, and until further notice, Watauga County is closing our office to the public.

Our agents are still available via email, phone, and other technological means, and will continue to assist you to the best of their ability. Someone will be at the office Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. to answer phone calls (828) 264-3061 and forward messages to agents. You can find contact info and details regarding N.C. Cooperative Extension, Watauga County Center’s operations on our website. You can also follow us on Facebook for more info and updates as they become available.

Please know that these changes are intended to protect the health and safety of our community while striving to provide the resources and services you need. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and act consistently with local, state, and national recommendations.
