The Watauga County Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension has begun their annual fruit plant sale. Plants that can be pre-ordered include:

  • Heirloom Apples
  • Pears
  • Blueberries
  • Blackberries
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Asparagus
  • Grapes

How it will work:
Orders can be:
  • Mailed to: Watauga Cooperative Extension, 971 West King St, Boone, NC  28607
  • Dropped off at our office. You will slide under door of the locked office to the right inside our lobby. Look for the sign.
  • Emailed to paige_patterson@ncsu.edu You will still need to mail or drop off check. The order form is fillable but it will not add amounts for you. Make sure you save with your name and put “fruit plant sale” in the subject line. This is mainly to help people without printers.
  • We prefer check made out to Watauga County we are unable to process credit cards for this event. We can accept cash in the correct amount, but please let us know if you need to pay with cash.
  • Your receipt will be emailed to you so you will know your order has been received.

What you need to start your order:
**Printed order forms can be picked up in our lobby or see the links below:
  • Orders must be placed and prepaid no later than April 2nd.
  • Pickup of your pre-ordered plants will be on Friday, April 16th. Last name A-L: 12:00-3:00 M-Z: 3:00-6:00 and Saturday, April 17th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
  • Pickup at 252 Poplar Grove Rd. by the right set of doors to the Ag. Conference Center
  • Apple trees were custom grafted for us in the summer of 2019, so are available in limited quantities. Sometimes we run out of a variety and must ask if you will accept another variety or refund your money.
